We celebrated Kaname's 100th day by performing the "okuizome" celebration with her tonight. Okuizome - a ceremony held either on the 100th, 110th, or 120th day after the birth. On this day, a baby eats or pretends to eat foods for the first time, wishing a baby not to suffer from lack of food throughout life We pulled out his high chair and "fed" her sushi! As you can see, she had mixed emotions about the whole affair. The chopsticks were a gift from a colleague at work for Takeo (note the chopsticks are "held together" at the top to make it easier for kids and 44-year olds).
