G-ma was visiting from SoCal, so we took Takeo to the Southwick's Zoo on Sunday afternoon. It was his first zoo trip and he loved it! We have a ton of pictures (below) and this video (click on the pic below). He saw monkeys, birds, camels, giraffes, ostriches, zebras, and a rhino (among other animals). He got to see some turkeys, pigs, goats and deer up-close. He even got to pet a goat! He had a great time, smiling, clapping, and chatting all of the time he was on Dad's stomach (who did not get to see how happy Takeo was, but felt it and was assured by Mom & G-maw that he was grinning ear-to-ear. He lasted about two hours in the park (and giftshop), before he promptly passed out for the 45 minute ride back home. A great day for the boy, indeed.
